NSAW 2008

The National Space Awareness Workshop (NSAW) 2008 organized by CAISU was held on November 23rd, 2008 at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, jointly with the Canadian Space Summit.

The theme was: "Canadians in Space". Organized by Steve Ulrich, Chair, National Space Awareness Workshop (NSAW), NSAW 2008 was aimed at enhancing general public interest and strengthening government funding in the space sector through this very dynamic and interdisciplinary setting. Participants received lectures by worldwide experts, researchers, and professors in the space industry and formed working groups to address the conference theme. Participants took the opportunity to propose their own vision of the Canadian Astronaut Program.
