Morla Milne Scholarship

Dear Canadian Alumnus,

The upcoming holidays should be a happy time, but this season is tinged with sadness as we reflect on the tragic loss of Morla Milne (SSP 1999) earlier this year. Most of us knew Morla professionally as the SSP Assistant Director since 2001, and many of us were even more privileged to be her friend. Morla brought to ISU the best Canadian values and wholly embodied ISU's international, intercultural, and interdisciplinary ideals. Having lived in Tanzania, Sudan, Kenya, and Zimbabwe, Morla was particularly concerned about the state of the developing world. As a student at SSP 1999, she became an advocate for the application of space technology to help lesser developed nations. Her humanity, dedication, and humor are irreplaceable and she will be greatly missed.

As the holiday season approaches and thoughts turn to gifts for loved ones, we hope you will consider one more gift in memory of this wonderful member of the ISU family. The Morla Milne Memorial Scholarship has been established to keep Morla's memory alive by helping future students get the opportunity to experience ISU as we have. Donations should be made in the following manner:

1) Download the pledge form here.

2) Write you cheque at the order of CFISU and mention that is is for the Morla Milne Memorial Scholarship.

3) Mail your donation to the following address:
